I sold this machine in the fall of 2023 to the Brewers (Brewer Offroad Channel). It was tough to part ways with, but at the time I wasn't riding it very often. When I upgraded my Raptor 700 to the Houser long travel set up, it really transformed that machine into the ultimate "do it all" quad for me. While I loved riding the YFZR. I really only rode it at places I was familiar with. The YFZR needs to be ridden aggressively and likes to attack. Most of my riding is at new places with a more exploratory pace, which led me to using the Raptor primarily.

Plus at the time I had the Scrambler XP1000 demo unit and our red '04 400EX in the garage as well. Since my YFZR was only being ridden a couple times a year, I mentioned selling it and the Brewers were immediately interested. Jake and Jessie both ride YFZR's and adding a 3rd to their fleet made perfect sense. Plus their dad, Steve, loves the YFZR and the quad was technically for him. While it was bittersweet to part with, the build was also rather mild and very replicable on a future YFZR.

I've always planned to get another one and that may happen soon. I was hoping Yamaha would've done yellow special editions for the 2026 model year but that didn't happen. I'm waiting to see what colors they release for the 2027 SE so stay tuned!

Here's a photo of the Brewers taking delivery in Oct 2023. (Uncle Joe doing the heavy lifting)

Here's a photo of the YFZR's current state from the 2025 November dune trip at Little Sahara Oklahoma. It's priceless to still get to see this quad from time to time and it's treated them very well. It easily has 100+ hours on it without skipping a beat.
